SPRING CAMPAIGN

"Spring is the time of plans and projects" - Leo Tolstoy

MCP relies on the generosity of private donors and foundations to provide the financial resources needed to serve over 13,000 people annually. While the annual dinner at the Hawaii Convention Center is MCP’s key activity for raising funds, out of respect for those impacted by the Maui wildfires, MCP cancelled its 2024 annual dinner. Instead, we are hosting a Spring Campaign to raise our budgeted goal of $200,000.00. Please make a gift!

Over the past few years, MCP’s services have nearly doubled. Last year MCP managed 5,007 cases including opening 2,785 new cases and conducting 1,677 mediations involving 7,129 hours of mediation. MCP’s programs provided people throughout Oahu, particularly those in the low income and ALICE populations, with the opportunity to quickly work through their differences, saving time, money, and stress. Your support of MCP helps us achieve these outcomes.

Through mediation, MCP helps tenants and landlords work out payment plans to keep tenants housed and provide landlords with their needed income; divorcing and unmarried couples agree on time-sharing agreements that met the best interests of their children; families caring for an elder agree on support plans to meet the needs of the elder; and more.

“The mediators were excellent, patient, courteous and professional in resolving a rather difficult agreement. I am grateful for the service your organization provides for the community.”

“Our mediators did an amazing job. Their calm demeanor helped us navigate through what has been a drawn out, stressful, and emotional custody dispute.”

“The mediator was great for the session, giving us space to speak and allowed mom and I to “connect” as we had not spoken in almost 17 months.”

MCP’s important work can’t continue without the financial resources to support it. Please donate today!  Mahalo!
