What is Mediation?

An informal, private process in which a neutral third party, the mediator, helps people talk through their differences and negotiate solutions.

Who are the Mediators?

Trained professionals who donate their services. The mediators come from a broad variety of backgrounds.

What can be Mediated?

Mediation should be the first step in resolving almost any dispute.

The Mediation Center offers mediation services for disputes between neighbors, friends, co-workers, family members, employees and employers through the Community Mediation Program.

The Specialized Mediation Program offers mediation for civil rights matters, condominium association conflicts, special education issues, landlord / tenant disputes, divorce, custody, visitation and more. Learn More

About the Center

The Mediation Center of the Pacific, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit Corporation, Aloha United Way Agency that has assisted thousands of people in Hawaii’s communities to prevent and resolve disputes. The Mediation Center was established in 1979.
